My name is Kathleen Encell-Rautureau, but you can simply call me Kathy. I originally started in the floral industry working at the wholesale flower market in downtown Los Angeles over 30 years ago.

Once exposed to the world of flowers, I knew that I did not want to simply sell flowers but that I wanted to design and create. And I did, until moving to Seattle with my husband and chef, Thierry Rautureau (aka the Chef in the Hat) to create restaurants and a family as well. Over the years I have been fortunate to create flowers for our restaurants (Rover’s, Luc and Loulay) as well as weddings, parties, birthdays, anniversaries and many other occasions.

We live in a very beautiful part of the world where we are lucky to have a bounty of fresh and local flowers to design with. I am inspired by the natural beauty of the Northwest and try to source my products from our local flower farmers as much as possible.
